Welcome to our center! Our tutoring team is full of enthusiastic educators who believe that learning should be fun. We work to build your child's confidence, empowering them to believe in themselves and achieve their academic goals. Come see the difference we can make in your child's learning journey today.

With over 40 years of teaching experience, including a master's degree in Applied Linguistics, I am deeply passionate about helping every child reach their full academic potential. I have experience at all levels in the New Zealand Education system including Deputy Principal. This has reinforced my belief that individualized support and one-on-one tuition are key to unlocking a student's success.

We believe that parents have a right to be fully informed about their child's progress. That's why our approach is centered on clear communication, providing you with a transparent understanding of exactly where your child is, how they're performing, and what the next steps are to help them thrive.

What are the lesson times?

Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!

What ages do you teach?

We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).

What subjects do you teach?

At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.

What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?

Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.

Does the centre have any parking?

There is parking directly outside our centre and Queensgate carpark is 2 minutes away.

Are there amenities or shops close to your location?

Within close proximity to us is Queensgate, City Fitness, The War Memorial Library and many cafes to pop into for a coffee!

What’s the best way to find your centre?

We are on Queens Drive, across the road from Queensgate and the bus stop. We are on the first floor but you can't miss us as our NumberWorks'nWords beetle is always parked outside!

What’s the process for dropping off and picking up my child?

Many of our parents drop off and pick up downstairs. Many of our students also walk, scooter or catch the bus after school to tutoring.
