Wendy Dumée
Owner
Kia ora, I’m Wendy Dumée, the owner and manager of NumberWorks’nWords Papamoa. I was the teaching team leader for the Gifted and Talented students in Totara House at Tauranga Intermediate for many years. Now, it is great to be able to encourage and support students in my local community with their learning. In my experience, the NumberWorks’nWords programme works because it is fun and it matches the NZ school curriculum. My stepdaughter loved her years learning at NumberWorks’nWords and she felt comfortable working alongside the young tutors. Her confidence blossomed and so did her results!
I love walking my dog Rosie, in the Wairakei Reserve and the view of the beautiful Papamoa Hills. Learning to speak languages, such as Mandarin, French, and te reo Maori, is one of my favourite pastimes.
Me and my team of kind, encouraging trained tutors will be able to fill learning gaps and give your child that boost in Maths and/or English which can make all the difference!

What are the lesson times?
Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!
What ages do you teach?
We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).
What subjects do you teach?
At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.
What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?
Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.

Parking is available in the shared front carpark, with additional spaces at the rear of the building, and plenty of street parking nearby if needed, especially during busier times.
