Hi, we are Michelle and Olivia, and we are the owners of NumberWorks'nWords Silverdale. We are passionate about meeting and working with the children and families in the Hibiscus Coast, and welcome you to visit us in centre. We both have vast knowledge and experience in education, having both taught in primary and intermediate schools for the past 15 years.
As mothers ourselves, we also know what it's like to want your child to feel confident and successful with their learning. We believe that NumberWorks'nWords is a proven model of success for all learners, in a fun way.

Ready to book an assessment at Silverdale?
A NumberWorks’nWords assessment in English and/or maths is a great way to see how your child is doing and where they might need support.
Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!
What ages do you teach?
We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).
What subjects do you teach?
At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.
What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?
Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.
Which schools in the area do you have students attending from?
We have students from Stella Maris, Silverdale School, Kingsway School, Orewa College, Whangaparoa School, Wentworth College, Mahurangi College, Waitoki School, Dairy Flat School, Red Beach School, Gulf Harbour School, North Shore Schools, but we welcome students from all schools.
Does the centre have any parking?
There is convenient parking available right in front of the centre. Please note that it is limited to one hour.
Are there amenities or shops close to your location?
Nearby amenities include Woolworths, Snap Fitness, The Warehouse, and Chemist Warehouse, which is just across the road
What’s the best way to find your centre?
Our centre is located in the same block of shops as Coffee Club, Burger Fuel, Sal’s Pizza, and ASB.
