Hi! We are Ranjeeta and Amitesh, originally from the Isles of Fiji but have been residing in New Zealand for over 13 years. While at university, we both worked as tutors, and developed our passion for education and teaching. Sharing our passion for education, we have been driven towards working with children and making a positive difference in their lives.
Being parents ourselves, we understand the need for your child to be successful and feel confident in their learning, which improves their performance. We recognise that every child's learning needs are unique. Here at NumberWorks'nWords, we build a customised and individualised programme for your child, and work with them on their specific needs while ensuring they are having fun. What are the lesson times?
Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!
What ages do you teach?
We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).
What subjects do you teach?
At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.
What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?
Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.

What’s the best way to find your centre?
Our centre is in the same complex as KFC, across from Pak’nSave on Lincoln Rd. Take the stairs between Subway and Animates Pet Store, we’re located next to Lumino the Dentist.
