Sapna Kemkar
Owner
Hi, I’m Sapna Kemkar, the proud owner of NumberWorks’nWords New Lynn. I’ve always worked closely with children and strongly believe that with the right support and encouragement, they can grow not only academically but also in confidence and self-belief. I’m passionate about creating a positive, personalised learning environment where every child can progress at their own pace and feel proud of their achievements. Living in Henderson and working in West Auckland for over 15 years has helped me build strong connections within the community, and I love partnering with families to support their children’s learning in maths and English. I look forward to welcoming you and your child and supporting their learning journey with care and enthusiasm.

Frequently asked questions
What are the lesson times?
Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!
What ages do you teach?
We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).
What subjects do you teach?
At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.
What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?
Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.
Which schools in the area do you have students attending from?
We currently have students from a wide range of local schools, including Kaurilands Primary, Titirangi Primary, Green Bay Primary, Arahoe Primary, Laingholm Primary, New Windsor Primary, Rosebank Primary, Blockhouse Bay Primary, New Lynn Primary, and Kelston Primary; intermediate schools such as Glen Eden Intermediate, Green Bay Intermediate, Blockhouse Bay Intermediate, Kowhai Intermediate, and Kelston Intermediate; and secondary schools including Avondale College, Lynfield College, Marist College, St Peter’s College, Elim Christian College (Mt Albert Campus), Green Bay High School, and Kelston Boys’ and Kelston Girls’ High Schools.

There is paid parking in the apartment complex next to us and behind the New Lynn Library. There is up to four-hours free parking at LynnMall.

We are located on the pathway the runs between the Totara Health Centre and the tall apartment complex. The pathway joins the New Lynn Library to the New Lynn Bus Station.
