Owners
Hi, we’re Liz and Danny Booth, a husband-and-wife team proud to welcome you to NumberWorks’nWords Petrie.
Together, we bring a wealth of experience in education and in working with children of all ages. For over a decade, we owned and operated the NumberWorks’nWords Chermside Centre, where we had the privilege of supporting hundreds of students to build confidence, close learning gaps, and reach their full potential.
Our passion for helping children succeed is what led us to relocate and establish our centre here in Petrie. We’re excited to continue doing what we love in a local community setting, offering personalised, high-quality maths and English support in a welcoming and supportive environment.
Outside of the centre, we enjoy spending time with our two energetic boys, who certainly keep us on our toes! We’re also passionate about giving back and regularly volunteer our time and support to community organisations, as helping others is something we value deeply.

Frequently asked questions
What are the lesson times?
Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!
What ages do you teach?
We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).
What subjects do you teach?
At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.
What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?
Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.
Does the centre have any parking?
There is undercover parking for the Petrie Village building which is located on O’Loan Street.
