Jo & Tony Nguyen

Owner-Managers

Hi, we’re Jo and Tony Nguyen - proud Owner-Managers of NumberWorks'nWords Pennant Hills. Jo is a psychologist with a passion for literature, and Tony is a business analyst with a flair for numbers. We have 3 boys, 2 of which are identical twins! We have always loved teaching kids ever since our university days as private tutors, and so pursued our vision of running a learning centre where teaching and learning is fun and individualised.

Over the years, we have helped thousands of students from Kindy to year 10, improve dramatically and each find confidence in their own maths and English abilities. We have found tremendous joy in having gained the trust of so many parents, students, teachers, and health professionals, as respected educators.

What are the lesson times?

Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!

What ages do you teach?

We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).

What subjects do you teach?

At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.

What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?

Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.

Which schools in the area do you have students attending from?

We have students from Pennant Hills Public School, Pennant Hills High School, Thornleigh West Public school, St Agatha's Primary school, Cherrybrook Public, Barker College, Normanhurst West Public, Beecroft Primary, West Pennant Hills Primary and Turramurra High.

There is ample street parking, as well as several nearby car park options.
