Manager
Hi there! My name is Alexa Murphy and I’m the manager of NumberWorks’nWords Mona Vale. Leading our team with energy, enthusiasm, and a passion for helping children reach their full potential, I’m dedicated to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where students can thrive, whether they’re mastering math, boosting their literacy skills, or gaining confidence in their overall abilities.
In my free time, I enjoy reading, painting, socialising with my friends and walking my dog. I’ve always loved working with children and am very excited to be currently studying Primary Education at University. This journey is not only a personal ambition but also enhances my ability to relate to and inspire young learners. I am extremely proud of our team here at Mona Vale, where we work hard and strive to help our students overcome challenges and achieve their learning goals in a positive and engaging environment.

Frequently asked questions
What are the lesson times?
Our centres run one-hour tutoring sessions after school, Monday to Friday, usually starting from 3:30pm. We aim to be as flexible as possible to fit around your child’s other activities. Just let us know what works best for you!
What ages do you teach?
We work with students aged 5 to 16, covering all levels of ability; from early learners to those preparing for exams or needing extension work (more of challenge).
What subjects do you teach?
At NumberWorks'nWords we specialise in both maths and English.
What happens if my child is sick and can't make it?
Let us know as soon as possible. We’ll cancel your child’s tutoring session for that day and schedule a make-up session during the same term.
